Street Lights Gets Clean ‘U’ Certificate

Street Lights is Mega star Mammootty’s upcoming movie. This flick is directed by Shamdat who is best known for his cinematography. The cinematographer turned director would be making his directorial debut through this bilingual project.

About the director

Shamdat is a very established cinematographer. He is also working as cinematographer in Kamal Hassan’s Magnum Opus Vishwaroopam 2.Shamdat made his debut to film industry in 2004 through Telugu movie  Premayanamaha. He showed his caliber in cinematography in his debut and received many rave reviews from critics for his beautiful visuals. Shamdat has worked as a cinematographer in more than twenty five films.He also worked with many biggies from the south Indian film industry including Mammootty, Kamal Hassan, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Prithviraj, Fahadh Fasil etcetera. Uttama Villain, Kerala Cafe, Oozham, Seasons are some of his renowned works. Not only for south Indian films he is also worked as a cinematographer for an English film, Seasons (2011) and an Arabic film A Bahraini Tale (2006).

About the movie

Another speciality of this movie is that the movie is produced by Megastar Mammootty himself through his banner Play House Motion Pictures. Movie was shot simultaneously in Malayalam as well as Tamil and the movie’s team is planning to release a dubbed Telugu version of the movie simultaneously on Republic Day, January 26th along with the Malayalam and Tamil versions.Street Lights is regarded as one of the most anticipated movies of the year in Malayalam. The trailer of the movie was highly appreciated by the critics and audience alike. We saw a classy as well flamboyant Mammootty in the trailer. If reports are to be believed the movie would be an action thriller. Mammootty has a bunch of promising projects this year including the sequel of cult classic Big B and Kunjali Marakkar. Meanwhile the censoring of the movie is over and the movie gets a clean U certificate. The movie would have a running time of 2 hours & 19 minutes. The movie would hit the screens on January 26.
